Hiring with Pheenix

How does the staffing process work?

It starts with a short intake call about the role, your team, the skills you need, and what success looks like. We then source and screen candidates through our network, run structured interviews and reference checks, and send you a shortlist instead of a stack of résumés. You interview the finalists, and we handle the offer, negotiation, and start-date details through onboarding.

How fast can you fill a role?

It depends on the role and the market. We give you a realistic timeline when we scope the search, and we keep you updated as it moves. Timing depends on the specialty, seniority, and market. Niche and executive searches take longer.

What does it cost, and how is pricing structured?

Pricing depends on the engagement model. Direct-hire placements are usually a one-time fee based on a percentage of the role’s first-year salary, due only when you hire. Contract and contract-to-hire staffing is billed at an hourly rate that already includes wages, payroll taxes, and our margin, so there is no separate markup to track. We give you exact numbers in writing before any work begins.

What’s your replacement guarantee?

Every direct-hire placement comes with a 90-day replacement guarantee. If a placement does not work out within 90 days, we will refill the role at no additional fee. It is also why we screen carefully before anyone reaches your desk.

What industries do you staff?

We place people in several sectors, including light industrial and manufacturing, warehouse and logistics, administrative and office support, healthcare, skilled trades, and professional roles. Each recruiter works the fields they know, so the person handling your search understands your work. See our industries page for the full list.

Do you handle payroll and compliance (EOR)?

Yes. Through our Payroll & EOR service we can act as the employer of record for your contingent workers. We take on payroll, tax withholding, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and employment compliance. You direct the work, and we handle the administrative and legal side of employing the workers.

Can you handle high-volume or national hiring?

Yes. We regularly staff entire shifts, sites, and programs, scaling to dozens or hundreds of workers across multiple locations on tight timelines. The screening stays the same as it would for a single hire.

What areas do you serve?

We staff nationwide, from a single local site to coordinated hiring across facilities in several states, for on-site, remote, or hybrid roles.

For job seekers

Working with our recruiters

Does it cost anything to work with a recruiter?

No. Our services are always free for candidates. You will never pay a fee to be represented, placed, or supported through the hiring process. Employers pay for our services.

How do I submit my résumé?

The quickest way is through our contact page. Send your résumé with a note about the kind of work you are looking for, and a recruiter will get in touch. You can also apply to any opening you see listed, and your information goes straight to the recruiter handling that role.

What types of roles do you place?

We place contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire (permanent) positions across many industries and skill levels. If you want short-term work, a trial period before a permanent offer, or a long-term job, we can help.

Will my information stay confidential?

Yes. We never share your résumé or personal details with an employer without your permission. If you are looking while still employed, we keep your search discreet. Nothing goes out without your go-ahead.

How long does placement take?

It varies by role and market. Contract roles usually move faster than permanent ones. If there is no good opening right away, we keep your profile active and contact you when a strong match comes up.

What happens after I apply?

A recruiter reviews your background. If there is a possible match, they will contact you to talk about your experience and goals. We prepare you for interviews, give you honest feedback, and speak up for you with the employer. We keep you updated at every step, including when the answer is “not yet.”
