Our commitment
Hiring should be open to everyone. Pheenix Solutions is committed to making this website and our recruiting process usable by people of all abilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, speech input, or other assistive technology.
We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box to check. Where we fall short, we want to hear about it and fix it.
The standard we build to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit or certification, so we describe this as the target we design and test against — not a certified conformance claim.
What we have done
Specific measures currently in place on this site:
- Keyboard navigation throughout. Every interactive element, including the navigation menus, can be reached and operated without a mouse. Menus open on keyboard focus, not hover alone.
- A skip link on every page so keyboard and screen-reader users can jump straight past the navigation to the main content.
- Semantic, structured HTML. Real headings in a logical order, landmark regions, and labelled navigation so assistive technology can describe and move through the page.
- Text alternatives for images. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are explicitly marked as decorative so screen readers skip them.
- Reduced-motion support. If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, our scroll animations and smooth scrolling turn off automatically.
- Visible focus indicators so it is always clear which element is selected when navigating by keyboard.
- Responsive layouts that work at a range of screen sizes and zoom levels, without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.
- No auto-playing audio or video, and no content that flashes or blinks.
- Color is never the only signal. Links, states, and required fields are distinguishable without relying on color perception alone.
Known limitations
We would rather be candid than claim perfection. We are aware of the following:
- Third-party job board. Our live job listings are hosted in an external applicant tracking system. That platform’s accessibility is controlled by its vendor, not by us. If you hit a barrier there, contact us and we will take your application directly by email or phone.
- No formal audit yet. Our testing to date has been internal. Issues may exist that a professional audit would catch.
- Documents. Résumés, job descriptions, and other files that originate with candidates or client employers may not meet the same standards, since we do not author them.
Requesting an accommodation
If you need a reasonable accommodation at any point — to browse this site, complete an application, take part in an interview, or work with a recruiter — we are glad to help. Accommodations are available on request, and asking for one will never count against you.
Email help@pheenixsolutions.com and tell us what would be helpful. If it is easier to call, our number is on the contact page. See also our Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
Reporting a barrier
If you encounter something on this site that is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us at help@pheenixsolutions.com. It helps if you can include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using — but report it even if you cannot, because a rough description is far better than silence.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and will tell you what we intend to do about the issue and roughly when.
