How we work

Experience you can talk to

Recruiting runs on relationships. Each search has one recruiter who learns what you need, runs the search, and stays in touch after the offer is signed.

If you are hiring

  • A market read before you commit. What the role pays right now, how deep the candidate pool is, and whether the package you have approved will clear the market. Better to know in week one than week seven.
  • An honest verdict on the req itself. Some roles cannot be filled as written: too many must-haves, a title that undersells the work, a salary band set three years ago. We will tell you which lever to move.
  • Reach beyond the people who apply. Two decades of relationships means access to professionals who are good at their jobs and not browsing listings. The best candidate for your role is usually employed somewhere else.
  • Fewer, better submittals. Your team's interview time is the scarcest resource in the process. A shortlist that respects it is worth more than a long one that does not.
  • Judgment about who stays. Reading motivation, counter-offer risk, and culture fit takes years of pattern recognition. It is the difference between a placement and a replacement.
  • Timelines you can plan around. A realistic date you can tell your leadership, rather than an optimistic one that slips twice.

If you are job hunting

  • Roles you will not find posted. A good share of hiring never reaches a job board. Being known to recruiters who have worked a market for decades is how you hear about those openings.
  • An employer who has already been checked out. We vet our clients before we place anyone with them: that the business is real and in good standing, that its payment history says people get paid, and that the worksite is safe. You are not walking in blind.
  • A straight answer on what you are worth. Including when your expectations are low. Candidates undersell themselves far more often than they oversell.
  • What the employer is like to work for. Having placed people into these teams before, we can tell you how the manager operates and what the first ninety days tend to look like.
  • Preparation for how you will be evaluated. What this particular interview panel weighs, which parts of your background to lead with, and the question that tends to decide it.
  • Protection from dead-end processes. If a search is stalled, wired for an internal candidate, or the role is likely to be restructured, your time is better spent elsewhere. We will tell you.
  • Advice that sometimes means “don't take it.” A placement that makes you miserable in four months helps nobody. We would rather keep the relationship than force the move.

The engagement

What working with us looks like

A conversation first

Before we source anyone, we want to understand the team, the work, and what “good” looks like in your environment. A job description tells us the title. A conversation tells us the role.

Screening before you see anyone

We check skills, references, and fit ourselves, so the shortlist you get is short on purpose. You should be choosing between good options, not wading through keyword matches.

Straight answers, including unwelcome ones

If a timeline is unrealistic or the comp will not clear the market, we say so at the start rather than six weeks in. Honest beats agreeable when your quarter depends on the hire.

One point of contact throughout

The person who takes your brief is the person who runs your search. No handoffs to a delivery team that has to be re-briefed, and no call-center queue when you need an update.

Communication you do not have to chase

You hear from us on a schedule we agree up front, including the weeks when the news is “still working it.” Silence is where clients and candidates both lose confidence.

We stay in it after the offer

Direct-hire placements carry a 90-day replacement guarantee, and we check in through the ramp. A hire that quietly fails at month three is not a placement we would count as a win.
